Mary A. Newton

Mary A. Newton, 90, of Williamson, GA (formerly of New Beaver Boro) passed away Saturday, March 31, 2018 in Giffin, GA following a short illness.

Born May 9, 1927 in Fenelton, Butler County, she was the daughter of the late William John and Mary Jones Nulph. She was married to Wilber Russell Newton who passed away February 28, 1986.

Mary was a member of the Wampum Presbyterian Church. She had formerly worked at the A&P Grocery Store in New Castle and at the SnoTop Mushroom Mines. She enjoyed spending time with her family and her pets.

Survivors include a son, Arthur R. Newton of New Beaver Boro; a sister, Lela Revetti of Ellwood City; grandson, Robert (Sheila) Newton of Williamson, GA; and her great granddaughter, Mikayla Newton.

She was preceded in death by her daughter in law, Betty Newton, brothers, Art and John Nulph, sisters, Ruby Shearer, Dorothy Mills, and Bernice Brommer, and numerous step brothers and sisters.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, April 4 from 4 until the time of the funeral service at 7:30 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home, Wampum. Rev. Elizabeth Wallace will officiate. Final interment will take place in Clinton Cemetery.
