Mary Jane Sapp

Mary Jane Sapp, 78, of Koppel died on Monday, December 2, 2013 at the Ellwood City Hospital following a short illness.

Born March 23, 1935 in Lincoln, Nebraska, she was the daughter of the late Everett L. and Hazel Margaret Henderson Wollen. She was married for 55 years to Donald R. Sapp who survives.

Mary Jane was an active member of the Valley Baptist Church in Beaver Falls. She taught Sunday School and was the church pianist. Mrs. Sapp was the volunteer coordinator for 27 years for the Providence Nursing Home Ministry. She loved missionary work. She also sponsored the Child Evangelist Fellowship 5 Day Club at their home for over 10 years.

In addition to her husband, Don, survivors include a daughter, Sherry Sapp of Koppel; two sons, Donald W. Sapp of Bessemer, Scott A. Sapp of Pennsville, New Jersey; brother, Richard (Margaret) Wollen of Lincoln, Nebraska; and five grandchildren,Shasta Dawn Sapp, Jessica Leigh Sapp, Kara Lynn Sapp, Hannah Louise Sapp, Charles Everett Sapp.

She was preceded in death by parents and an infant daughter, Carol Lynn Sapp.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday December 6 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Valley Baptist Church, 1405 8th Ave. Beaver Falls.

Funeral Services will be held at the Valley Baptist Church on Saturday at 1 pm with Pastor Jeff Seivers officiating.

Interment will follow in Clinton Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to Valley Baptist Church Missionary Program.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Marshall Funeral Home, Wampum.
