Mary Jane Zeigler

Mary Jane Zeigler, 85, of Clyde St., Wampum died unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at her residence.

Born July 16, 1927 in Chewton, she was the daughter of the late Philip and Regina (Sipos) Winter.  She was married for 31 years to William H. Zeigler who passed away May 24, 1980.

Mary Jane was a member of Holy Redeemer Parish and a member of the Rosary Guild at the former St. Monica’s Church in Wampum.  She was also a member of the Wampum American Legion Auxiliary.  Mary Jane enjoyed cooking and baking.

Survivors include a sister in law, Josephine Winter of West Pittsburgh and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Elizabeth “Ashy” Elsesser, Louise Lombardo, Katherine Kissinger; and two brothers, John and Steven Winter.

Visiting hours will be held on  Thursday December 13,  from 6-8 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home 341 Main Street Wampum.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday at Holy Redeemer Church  at 10:00 am.

Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery in New Castle.
