Mary L. Wisbith

Mary L. Wisbith, 87, of Old Rt 18, Wampum died unexpectedly on Sunday, May 4, 2014 in the Emergency Room of Jameson Memorial Hospital in New Castle.

Born July 17, 1926 in Chewton, she was the daughter of the late Jacob and Katherine Burick Petruchik. She was married to Edward Wisbith who passed away April 30, 1966.

Mary retired in 1992 from the Ellwood City School District. She had worked in the cafeteria for 22 years. She was affiliated with the First Baptist Church in Chewton. She enjoyed doing puzzles and eating out. Her most cherished time was spent playing card games with her great grandchildren every Friday night.

Survivors include a son, Terry (Jeanette) Wisbith; daughter, Shelly (Randy) Patterson, both of Wampum; seven grandchildren,Carrie Wisbith, Kristine “Pram” Nulf, Jason Wisbith, Eric A. Wisbith, Kirt Wisbith, Grant Patterson, Ryan (Kim) Patterson; and six great grandchildren, Travis, Kira, Daniel, Paige, Nicolas, and Nathan.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Jerry E. Wisbith on December 16, 2008; brother, Andrew Petruchik; and a grandson, Frederick Edward Wisbith in 1971.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday May 7 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home 341 Main Street Wampum. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday at 11 am with Rev. Eric Board of the First Baptist Church officiating.

Interment will follow in Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
