Mary Lou Pirrera, 84, of Fourth St., Ellwood City died Friday, October 24, 2014 at St. John’s Lutheran Home in Mars.
Born July 3, 1930 in Homewood “Racine”, PA., she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Nancy Jane VanKirk Yoho. She was married on November 24, 1973 to Anthony Pirrera who passed away in 1996.
Mary Lou graduated from Beaver Falls High School in 1948. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Ellwood City. Mary Lou was a member of The Golden Agers and Challenges. She enjoyed reading and playing cards.
Survivors include a daughter, Kathleen (Michael) Ingram of Ellwood City; son, Scott (Nancy) Foster of Chippewa; two sister in laws, Ann Butchelli and Lucy Koah; brother in law, James Pirrera; four grandchildren, Amy, Erin, Chris, and Daniel Foster ; nine great grandchildren, one great great grandchild; and a nephew, Lawrence Krawchick.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, David P. Foster and a sister, Lois Yoho.
Private services will be held on Monday at Clinton Cemetery.
