Mervin L. Wilson, 85, formerly of Ellwood City passed away on Friday, October 20, 2017 at Princeton Village in Largo, Florida following an extended illness.
Born April 19, 1932 in Ellwood City, he was the son of the late Loyal and Thelma (Hogue) Wilson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Sally Wilson Winter.
Merv graduated from Lincoln High School in 1950 and from Geneva College in 1956. He served in the Army during the Korean War. He worked at Ohio Edison and Penn Power and when retiring he served on the Board of Director’s and was the Treasurer of Penn Power.
Survivors include a son, Richard (Kathy) Wilson of Oldsmar, Florida; a daughter, Lori (Charles) Ryder of Akron, Ohio; and two grandsons, Kyle and Adam Wilson, both of Oldsmar.
A private entombment will be held at Slippery Rock Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
