Michael W. Lloyd

Michael W. Lloyd, 40, of North Beaver Township, passed away on September 11, 2014, after a very brief illness.

Born on December 12, 1973, in Clarion, PA, Michael was the son of Michael and Jayne Kahle Lloyd.

Mike was married to Melanie Loughhead for 15 years. Melanie is the daughter of John and Karolee Loughhead of Wampum.

Mike was a member of Wampum Presbyterian Church where he frequently worked with youth activities. He was the co-founder and co-owner of Acolyte, LLC of Zelienople. The partnership created and operated Catholic Match, one of the largest online Catholic dating forums. After high school Mike attended West Point and later graduated with an engineering degree from Geneva College. Mike was active in coaching soccer and basketball in the Mohawk area. Mike was a beloved husband and father. He is the eldest of six siblings. He was known by all for his gentle, loving and adventuresome spirit.

Mike is survived by his wife, Melanie and four sons: Dylan Michael (13), Blake William (11), Kaleb John (11) and Andrew Jacob (5). Mike is also survived by his in-laws, his parents and five siblings: Aaron Lloyd, Jessica Whitacre (Chad), Nathan Lloyd (Liana), Grace Miner (Blake) and Rachel Martin (Bryn). Mike is also survived by thirteen nephews and nieces.

Visiting hours will be held at Marshall Funeral Home on Saturday, September 13, 7-9 PM and Sunday September 14, 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Monday at 11 AM at the Wampum Presbyterian Church with his pastor, Rev. Dr. William R. McGary officiating. Interment will follow in Clinton Cemetery.
