Mildred A. Womer, 97, of Clyde St., Wampum died on Thursday, July 12, 2012 at the Golden Hill Nursing Center.
Born October 5, 1914 in Ellwood City, she was the daughter of the late John Britton McClintick and Suzanne Haswell McClintick.
She was married for 38 years to Leslie F. Womer who died March 19, 1970.
Mildred worked at the SnoTop Mushroom Mines in Wampum for nine years. Mrs. Womer was a member of the Wampum Presbyterian Church where she served as a deacon for six years. She was a faithful attendee of the Wednesday Bible Study Group and the Forever Young Ones.
Survivors include two daughters – Phyllis Odom of Salem, OH and Beverly (Tom) Hairhoger of Wampum; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren and four great great grandsons.
The last of her family, she was preceded in death by two brothers – Harold and Ray McClintick and two sisters – Helen Gasser and Edna Brandt and a granddaughter, Phyllis Ann Hairhoger.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday July 15, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 at the Marshall Funeral Home 341 Main Street Wampum.
Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Monday, July 16, 2012 at 11:00 am with her pastor, Rev. Dr. William R. McGary officiating.
Interment will follow in Clinton Cemetery.
