Mont L. Mcbride

Mont L. McBride, 82, of McBride Rd., New Galilee (New Beaver Boro) died on  Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at the Jameson Memorial Hospital.

Born August 5, 1930 in New Galilee, he was the son of the late Leslie and Wylda McKinney McBride . He was married for 63 years to Margaret “Peg”  Cotton McBride as they were married August 26, 1949.  She survives.

Mont owned and operated McBride Dairy Farms for many years.  He loved to farm, especially plow.  He always wanted to leave the farm better than when he bought it.    He was an active and life member of the Moravia Presbyterian Church where he served as an Elder.  He attended Mt. Jackson High School and was a member of the Pa Farm Bureau.

With his wife, Peg, they raised five children, Leslie (deceased) and his wife, Linda McBride of North Beaver Twp., James (Debbie, deceased) McBride of Ellwood City, Kathy McBride of North Beaver Twp., Alan (Debbie) McBride of North Beaver Twp., William McBride of North Beaver Twp  He is also survived by a sister, Joann Johnson of Little Beaver Twp; nine grandchildren,  Carrie (matt) Edwards, Michael (Mandi) McBride, Jay (Tressa) McBride, Michelle McBride, David (Shelby) McBride, Megan (Dave) Presnar, Ashley McBride, Nathaniel McBride, and Natalie McBride; and ten great grandchildren, Delaney and Rylee Edwards, Austin, Mikenzi, Malayna, and Marli McBride, Moriah and Jacob McBride, and Scarlett and Shaley McBride.

In addition to his son, Leslie, and daughter in law, Debbie, he was preceded in death by a sister, Helen Paden Scott.

Visiting hours will be held on  Friday January 11, 2013 from 1-4 and 7-9 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home 341 Main Street Wampum.

Funeral Services will be held at the Moravia Presbyterian on Saturday at 11:30 am with his pastor,  Rev. Teresa Kendall  officiating.  Interment will follow in Bethel Church Cemetery.
