Nancy M. Scala

Nancy M Scala, 86, of Canal Street, Wampum died on Sunday, August 18, 2013 at the Haven Nursing Home following an extended illness.

Born February 24, 1927 in Wampum, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Adelina DiTommasso Scala .

Nancy graduated from Wampum High School and worked at Shenango China in New Castle. She was a member of Holy Redeemer Parish.

Survivors include two sisters, Josephine Lawson of Koppel, Delores Dando of Wampum; and a number of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Andrew, Nick and Mario Scala; and four sisters, Carolyn Scala, Mary A. Skvarla, Jennie Kramer, and Mary T. Scala, as a child.

A blessing service will be held on Tuesday Aug 20, 2013 at 10 a.m. at the Marshall Funeral Home, 341 Main St. Wampum.

Interment will follow in Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
