Nina A. Barker

Nina A Barker, 87, of Mt. Hope Rd, New Castle passed away Monday, February 2, 2015 at the Ellwood City Hospital.

Born March 19, 1927 in Ellwood City, she was the daughter of the late Allen and Ethel Burns Weller. She was married in 1946 to John Barker who passed away in 1996.

Mrs. Barker was a member of the First Christian Church. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, working crossword puzzles and yard work.

Survivors include a son, Randy Barker of New Castle; daughter, Lou Ann Mazzucco of Painesville, Ohio; two sisters, Pam Taylor and Darla Hay, both of Ellwood City; three grandsons, Frank (Kristen) Mazzucco, Joseph (Beth) Mazzucco, Dennis Kuhn; five great grandchildren, Isabella, Michael, Luke, Vincent and Jack Mazzucco; and a niece and several nephews.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard and Robert Weller and a daughter in law, Bonnie Barker.

Per Nina’s wishes, there will be no services. Memorial contributions may be made to Animal Friends, 562 Camp Horn Rd. Pittsburgh, PA 15237.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Marshall Funeral Home, Ellwood City.
