Norma J Galmarini, 87, of Galmarini Lane , Wampum passed away Saturday, March 7, 2020 at Good Samaritan Hospice following a one year illness.
Born January 14, 1933 in Beaver Falls, PA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Angelina Piazza Montani . She was married to the late Joseph John Galmarini for 62 years who passed on December 11, 2015.
Norma was a graduate of Wampum High School in 1951. She was a member of the former St. Monica’s Church in Wampum and currently Holy Redeemer in Ellwood City. She was a supervisor at the former Sno Top Mushroom. She enjoyed baking, cooking, and always had a full table for anyone who would visit. In her later years she and Joe enjoyed casino trips and traveled during their retirement. She also had a love of animals, including her fur grandchildren Monty, Sage and Topi.
Survivors include three daughters, Debra (Dennis) Glasser of Wampum, PA, Angela Bionda of Cranberry, Anita (Gary) Morini of New Castle; a son, John (Judy) Galmarini of Wampum; one sister, Joan (John) Valentino of Wampum, PA; a sister in law, Elizabeth Augustine of New Castle; and five grandchildren, Natalie, Camille, and Joseph “Joey” Galmarini, Gary Michael, Tyler Morini, a great granddaughter, Callie Morini.
She was also was preceded in death by one brother, Louis Montani, two sisters, Mary Wahl, Josephine Botti.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday March 12, 2020 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home, Main Street Wampum.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Redeemer on Friday March 13 at 10:00 am with Father Mark Thomas officiating.
Interment will follow in Clinton Cemetery.
Memorial Contributions may be made to Humane Society.
