Patricia Ann Kaldy

Patricia Ann Kaldy, 78, of Hollow Rd., New Castle (Shenango Twp.)  died on  Sunday, November 11, 2012 at her residence following a courageous battle with cancer.

Born April 2, 1934 in Ellwood City, she was the daughter of the late Oliver C. and Mildred Smith Aiken.  She was married in 1957 to William S. Kaldy Jr. who passed away in 1992.

Pat was an excellent bookkeeper.  She most recently worked at the Hanes Outlet in Grove City.  She had also worked for her brother at B&B Charcoal Grill, and the New Castle Foundry, Columbia Gas, and numerous banks in the area.  She was extremely active at the North Sewickley Presbyterian Church.  Pat sang for the Sweet Adelines and was an avid Steeler and Pirate Fan.  She enjoyed baking and entertaining family and friends.  She loved camping in her younger years, shopping, and telling a good story.  Her most cherished time was spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include three sons, Kirk Kaldy and Kris (Paula) Kaldy, both of New Castle, Eric (Christine)  Kaldy of MA; two brothers, Donald (Esther) Aiken of Ellwood City, Bruce (Joan) Aiken; eight grandchildren, Tara, Jenna, Justina, Hunter, McKenzy and Kyle Kaldy, and Courtney and Ashley Fontana; two great grandchildren, Tairyn and Chazlyn Fontana; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Visiting hours will be held on  Wednesday November 14, from 2-4 and 7-9 at the Marshall Funeral Home  200 Fountain Ave. Ellwood City.

Funeral Services will be held at the North Sewickley Presbyterian Church on Thursday at 11:00 am with her pastor, Rev. Dr. Maurice Smith  officiating.

Interment will follow in Slippery Rock Cemetery.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the North Sewickley Presbyterian Church, 106 Chapel Dr. Ellwood City, PA 16117.
