R. Bobbi Brown

R. Bobbi Brown, 65, of Ellwood City passed away unexpectedly Thursday, March 5, 2015 at the Ellwood City Hospital.

Born September 3, 1949 in Ellwood City, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Virginia Shaffer Brown.

Bobbi graduated from Lincoln High School and continued her education at Seton Hill University. She then received her Master’s Degree from Westminster College. Bobbi taught foreign language classes in North Carolina for over 30 years. She was fluent in French, Spanish, Italian, Latin, Hebrew, and Greek. While teaching, she chaperoned students on educational trips to Italy. Bobbi was idolized by many of her students who still keep in touch with her.
Bobbi loved dogs; they were the greatest joy in her life. She once had a dog sled team of Siberian Huskies in Canada. Bobbi was a dog sitter for many local residents. She was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan, enjoyed outlet shopping, and her favorite color was purple. She also enjoyed going to the Ellwood City Arts and Craft Festival, mainly for the hot sausage sandwiches, Worship in the Park, and the Live Nativity.
