Ralph I. Brommer Jr. “Carbite”, 86, of Old Rt. 18, Wampum (New Beaver Boro) passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at his residence following an extended illness.
Born April 5, 1929 in Wampum, he was the son of the late Ralph I. and Ida Smith Brommer Sr. He was married to the late Lucille Goodland who passed away December 8, 1993. He currently is married to Pauline Fair Reisker Brommer.
Ralph retired from Medusa Cement Company where he worked in the Maintenance Department.
In addition to his wife, Pauline, survivors include four daughters, Debra Langer of Wampum, Nancy Holms of New Castle, Kimberly (Christopher) Downing of Moodus, CT, Barbara (John) Scheller of Murphy, TN; two sons, Donald (Joan) Brommer of Tionesta, Dennis (Cheryl) Brommer of Bessemer; five step children, Jim (Donna) Reisker of New Castle, Dan (Ellen) Reisker of Alabama, Dawn (Dean) Koginos of Wampum, Ron (Amanda) Reisker of New Castle, Sam (Annette) Reisker of New York; sister, Pearl (Harold) McConnell of Wampum; 30 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; and 5 great great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Lucille, and sister, Phyllis McConahy, brother, Sam Brommer, and son in law, Stanley Langer.
Carbite’s wishes were to have no visitation or services.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Marshall Funeral Home, Wampum.
