Raymond C. Clyde, 59, of Ellwood City passed away Saturday, November 10, 2018 with his loving wife and children at his side at The Good Samaritan Hospice following a short illness
Born September 15, 1959 in Ellwood City, he was the son of the late Raymond C. and Frances Eileen Sobczak Clyde.
He was married to Kim Nagel Clyde for 37 years, she survives.
Ray attended Riverside High School. He retired from the PA Department of Transportation out of Beaver County following 35 years of service as a heavy equipment operator. He loved being with his family and cherished times spent with his grandchildren. Ray was also an outdoorsman.
Besides his wife, survivors include two sons, Raymond (Kristin) Clyde, and Travis Clyde of Ellwood City; a daughter, Amanda Rae Clyde of Ellwood City; two sisters, Francis Plesniak of Franklin Twp., and Katherine McCune of Ellwood City; three grandchildren, Kayden, Tanner, and Addison Rae; He also leaves behind two nephews that he was very proud of, Justin Miller and Eli Nye and two nieces whom he adored, Frankie Nye and Jess Miller; Several great nieces, nephews, and cousins; his mother in law, Shirley (Charles) Cox; four brother in laws, Ken, Kevin, and Karl Nagel, and Frank Nye, sharing a special bond with each in his own way.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Martha Nye; a niece, Christina Clyde, and nephew, Billy Lynn Nye.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, from 2 to 4pm and from 6 until the time of the Funeral Service at 8pm at the Marshall Funeral Home, 200 Fountain Ave. Ellwood City. Rev. James Salyers will officiate.
The family wishes to thank the nurses and staff at the Good Samaritan Hospice of Beaver for their care and compassion for their loved one.
