Regis H. Frederick Jr.

Regis H. “Rick” Frederick Jr., 70, of New Beaver Boro passed away peacefully Saturday, September 30, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family.

Born December 8, 1946 in Sewickley, he was the son of the late Regis and Mildred Louise McConnell Frederick Sr. He was married for 49 years to Darlene A. Brown Frederick who survives. They were married December 30, 1967.

Regis worked at several companies, most recently at Universal Refractories where he served as the Vice President and Controller. He graduated from Freedom High School and studied at Slippery Rock University from September of 1964 to January of 1967. Regis was a former member of the Baden United Methodist Church the Baden American Legion. He was currently a member of the New Galilee VFW, and the New Galilee LMBA where he played for their golf and bocce leagues. He enjoyed camping.

In addition to his wife, Darlene, survivors include three daughters, Sandra (Keith) Zack of Wampum, Lesley McNellis of Hermitage, Cindy Frederick of New Castle; his twin sister, Regina Alice “Renie” (Richard) Gault of Ambridge; brother, Charles “Mac” McConnell (Deborah) Frederick of Fair Oaks; and seven grandchildren, Cole Zack, Devon Welsh, Dylan Welsh, Nolan Ayers, Camden Ayers, Abby McNellis, and Ethan McNellis.

He was preceded in death by two brothers in law, Earl and Keith Brown, and a nephew, Kevin Brown.

No services will be held at Regis’s request. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Marshall Funeral Home, Wampum.
