Richard  A. “Rick”  Herbert, 66, of Ren Lee Ave. Ellwood City died on Saturday, November 10, 2012 from an apparent heart attack while archery hunting in the Kittaning Area of Armstrong County.

Born December 18, 1945 in Ellwood City, he was the son of the late Stephen Herbert who passed away on May 15, 1990 and Elizabeth Bender Herbert who passed away on November 14, 1987.

Rick retired from Nalco in 2003 following 30 years of service.   He also owned Rick’s Seal Master Driveway Coating Co for a number of years.   He enjoyed hunting and fishing.  He also liked to boat and snow ski and was a member of the Beaver Valley Ski Club for several years.   Rick was a member of the Hungarian Home, Castlewood Rod and Gun Club, and the NRA.

He is survived by a brother and sister in law, Gerald and Donna Herbert of Ellwood City, and his hunting and fishing buddy, Bob McQuiston of Chewton.

Friends will be received on  Tuesday, November 13, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 at the Marshall Funeral Home 200 Fountain Ave. Ellwood City.

Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 11:00 am.

Interment will follow in the Slippery Rock Cemetery.
