Richard “Rick” Moffett

Richard “Rick” Moffett is celebrating his return to the Lord after 59 years of joyful life. Born in New Brighton on September 25th, 1961. Rick enjoyed living life to the fullest with the ones he loved.

Rick spent 22 wonderful years with his lifelong partner Terri Lynn Hill. He loved to spend time with his family including daughter Chelsea (John) Duncan, son John Paul (Jessica) Hill, grandsons Johnny Duncan and Dylan Nulph.

Rick was an active member of the First Baptist Missionary Church in Chewton. He served as a Trustee and he was the sound and video operator. Also Rick’s love for music carried into his faith as he sang in the men’s choir.

Rick had a love for life that attracted many friends that he considered family. He enjoyed spending time studying herbology, camping, and fishing.

He is survived by many friends and family including; two brothers, Michael (Christine) Krischner of New Brighton and Robert (Loraine) Moffett of Florida ; three sisters Michelle (Dennis) Hill of Nebraska, Brenda (William) McCambridge of Florida and Renee (Chris) Fry of Wampum.

He was preceded in death by his parents John Le-Roy and Carolyn Gail Shasteen Moffett, and Sister Nancy Wallace.

A blessing service will be held at the First Baptist Missionary Church in Chewton on June 9th, 2021 from 2:00 pm until the time of the memorial service at 3:00 pm with Rev. Eric Board officiating. As Rick would say “come as you are comfortable”.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the First Baptist Missionary Church in Chewton at P.O. Box 179, Wampum, PA 16157.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Marshall Funeral Home, Wampum.
