Robert J. Altman

Robert J. Altman, 82, of New Beaver Boro passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, October 19, 2019 in the Emergency Room of UPMC – Jameson Hospital in New Castle.

Born May 28, 1937 in Cabot, Butler County, he was the son of the late Mont C.”Mike” and Leona (Bowser) Altman. He was married to Glenda L. (McDonald) Altman for 66 years when she passed away December 1, 2017.

Bob retired from Medusa Cement Company following 43 years of service. He attended the First Baptist Church on Maitland Lane in New Castle. Bob enjoyed going to the casinos.

Survivors include two daughters, Delores (Donald) Lloyd of Pulaski, Laura McDonald of West Pittsburgh; son, Raymond (Renee) McDonald of Wampum; brother, Wes “Buck” Altman of North Beaver Twp.; and two grandchildren, Melissa (Jeff) Foreman of Ellwood City and Bethann McDonald of Wampum.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Janet Beggs and two brothers, Richard and Gary Altman.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday October 23 from 4 pm until the time of the funeral service at 7 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home, 341 Main Street Wampum. His pastor, Rev. John Yeargen will officiate. Final interment will take place in Clinton Cemetery.
