Robert J. Davis, 75, of State Route 18, Wampum (New Beaver Boro) died on  Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at the Edison Manor following a short  illness.

Born September 16, 1937 in Enon Valley,he was the son of the late Russell H. and Elizabeth Lester Davis Sr.

Robert retired on August 1, 1999 from Medusa Cement Co following 26 years of service.  He was a member of the Cannelton Baptist Church.  He was a lifelong member of the National Rifle Association and a member of  the Ellwood-Wampum Rod and Gun Club.  He was also a member of the Chewton Polish White Eagles.

Survivors include a daughter, Ruth Ann (Alan) Overland of Sable, Idaho; two sons, Jeffery M. (Doris) Davis of Anchorage, Alaska, Matthew D. (fiancé – Kimberly Dykes) Davis of Rimersburg, PA; five sisters, Sarah Simcox of New Springfield, Ohio, Kathryn  Burns of Summertown, Tennessee, Pat Harold and Eva Mae Settler, both of Negley, Ohio, Evelyn Pearl Kubicar of Carmichael, PA; brother, Kenneth Davis of East Palestine, Ohio; six grandchildren; and five great grandchildren and two former wives, Leona and Jesse.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Russell Jr., Harry, and Charles Davis and a granddaughter, Amanda Jean Davis.

Visiting hours will be held on  Saturday March 16, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 at the Marshall Funeral Home 341 Main Street Wampum.

Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Sunday at 2 pm with his pastor, Pastor Dale Regner officiating.

Interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the Cannelton Baptist Church.
