Robert R. Berkebile

Robert Russell Berkebile, 83, of Koppel passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at PAM Health at Heritage Valley-Beaver following a brief illness.

Born July 16, 1939 in Beaver Falls, he was the son of the late Russell and Mildred Craig Berkebile. He married Jessie Swogger Berkebile on October 12, 1999.

Robert had graduated from Lincoln High School in 1957. After graduation, he followed in his father’s footsteps and became a barber in Koppel. He then was the owner and operator of Keystone Lawrence Trucking from 1960-1995. Bob was a member of the former Koppel Methodist Church. He enjoyed flipping houses, woodworking, flea markets, yard sales, and classic cars.

Survivors include his wife Jessie, two stepsons, Kevin Swogger and his fiancée Michelle Archuleta of Ellwood City and Randy Hollenbeck of Koppel; four grandchildren, Megan and Ashley Swogger and Benjamin and Abby Hollenback and two sisters-in-law, Audrey Berkebile and Mollie (Dave) Prestopine.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife Jean in 1995 and his brother John in 2008.

Visiting hours will be held on Saturday January 21, 2023 from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm and on Sunday January 22 from 2:00 pm until the time of the Funeral Service at 4:00 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home, 200 Fountain Ave. Ellwood City. Pastor Dave Keppen will officiate.

Interment will follow in Oak Park Cemetery in the Berkebile Mausoleum.
