Ronald M. Sheeler Sr. 80

Ronald M. Sheeler Sr., 80, of Madison Ave., Ellwood City passed away Friday, August 25, 2017 at the Ellwood City Hospital. Although in ill health death was unexpected.

Born November 27, 1936 in Ellwood City, he was the son of the late John and Stella Moczan Sheeler. He was married for 58 years to Lallie Mehaffay Sheeler who survives. They were married August 28, 1959.

Ron retired from the Ellwood City Post Office in 1988 following 33 years of service as a Mail Carrier. He was a 1954 graduate of Lincoln High School. Ron was a member and usher at the First Church of God, Mercer Rd. and a Veteran of the US Army, serving from 1954-1957. He enjoyed walking and was involved with and a former coach with the Ellwood City Youth Baseball. He was proud of his grandchildren, and never missed their sporting events.

In addition to his wife, Lallie, survivors include three sons, Ronald M. Sheeler Jr. of Industry, Robert Sheeler of Ellwood City, Scott Sheeler of Anoka, Minnesota; daughter, Terri (Tim Fiscus) Sheeler of Kittanning; two grandchildren, Kayla and Brandon Sheeler; two great grandchildren, Aubrey and Ali Cox; and two sisters in laws, Carol (Wayne) Szoke of Palm Beach Garden, Florida, Carolyn (Dave) Kelm of Warren, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday, August 28 from 2-4 and 7-9 at the Marshall Funeral Home 200 Fountain Ave. Ellwood City.  Friends will also be received on Tuesday at the funeral home from 10 am until the time of the Funeral Services at 11 am. Pastor Phil Conklin will officiate the service. Interment will follow in Locust Grove Cemetery.
