Rose M. Caminiti Cody

Rose M Caminiti Cody, 74, of Beaver St., Wampum died on Monday, October 14, 2013 at her residence following a brief illness.

Born May 3, 1939 in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late James and Philomena O’Kuzo Caminiti. She was married for 33 years to Gene Cody who passed away April 7, 2011.

Rose graduated from New Castle High School in 1957. She worked for the Aetna Casualty Insurance Co and then for the McBride Shannon Insurance Company. Rose was a member of Holy Redeemer Church in Ellwood City.  She was an active member of the Wampum Women’s Club and the long time secretary for the Wampum Christmas Parade Committee. Rose also worked on the Board of Elections. She loved camping at Pymatuning and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include a son, James (Amy) Caminiti of Wampum; two step sons, Robert (Barbara) Cody of Wampum, Bruce Cody of Slippery Rock Twp.; brother, Joseph A. (Darlene) Caminiti of New Castle, five grandchildren, Peyton and Abigail Caminiti, Veronica (Greg) Shafer, Amber Cody, Kevin (Emily) Cody; three great grandchildren, Landon, Aiden, and Collin Shaffer; and three nephews, Joseph A. (Wendy) Caminiti Jr, her godchild, Douglas G. Caminiti, and Marc A. Caminiti.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday October 17 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home 341 Main Street Wampum.

A mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Holy Redeemer Church on October 18, 2013 at 10:00 am.

Interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery in Beaver Falls.
