Rose Shymko

Rose Shymko, 97 formerly of Third St. Koppel passed away May 4, 2013.

She was born June 27, 1915 in Perth Amboy, New Jersey.  She was married for 60 years to the late Michael Shymko, who passed away in 2004.

Michael and Rose were residents of Koppel, PA for nearly fifty years.

She was a graduate of Perth Amboy High School.  Rose was an active member of the former St. Teresa’s Parish in Koppel, where she sang in the choir  and was a member of Holy Redeemer Church.

Rose is survived by son Adrian Shymko (wife, Alva) of Santa Monica, CA, grandson Gregory  Shymko of Santa Monica, CA,  grandson Christopher Shymko (wife, Jennifer) and great grandchildren, Peja and Nicolai Shymko of Mountlake Terrace, WA.

Friends and relatives will be received at the Marshall Funeral Home in Ellwood City  on Wednesday, May 8,  from 4PM to 7PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Redeemer on Thursday, May 9,  at 10AM.  Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Beaver Falls.
