Sally A. Marshall

Sally A. Marshall, 85, of Ellwood Rd., New Castle (Wayne Twp.) died Sunday, November 30 at the Ellwood City Hospital following a short illness.

Born February 7, 1929 in Wayne Twp, she was the daughter of the late John and Gertrude Ketterer Mayberry. She was married for 65 years to Ralph Marshall as they were married February 18, 1949.

Sally graduated from Lincoln High School in 1947. She was a member of the Bell Memorial Presbyterian Church. Sally bowled with the Thursday Afternoon Bowling League for many years. She enjoyed dancing, and playing cards, and Sunday Family Dinners. She also enjoyed spending her winters in Florida at their home in Umatilla.

In addition to her husband, Ralph, survivors include three daughters, Linda (Carl) Johns of Wayne Twp., Sherry (Mike) Deegan of Slippery Rock Twp., Janet (Todd) Brest of Perry Twp.; two sons, Randy (Diane Fritzman) Marshall and Gary (Cindy) Marshall, both of Wayne Twp.; three siblings, Mary Lou Goss, Ruthie (Norm) Faith, and John (Barbara) Mayberry, all of California; seven grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Gladie Mayberry.

Visiting hours will be held Wednesday December 3 from 3 pm until the time of the funeral service at 7 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home 200 Fountain Ave. Ellwood City. Rev. Julia Williamson of the Slippery Rock Presbyterian Church will officiate. Interment will follow in the Slippery Rock Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
