Samuel R. “Bob” Tepsich Jr.

Samuel R. “Bob” Tepsich Jr., 79, of Wampum (formerly of Chewton) passed away unexpectedly Saturday, January 22, 2022 at his residence.

Born April 7, 1942 in Ellwood City, he was the son of the late Samuel and Katherine (Krystynski) Tepsich Sr. He was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years Barbara K. (Piersol) Tepsich when she passed on August 8, 2019.

In his younger years he was stationed in Germany as he served in the United States Army. He spent nearly 50 years as a steel worker at both B&W and Koppel Steel where he retired. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing and hunting. Sam spent many days fishing with his “camp family” in Pymatuning. He loved cooking, especially frying fresh fish that he caught, and making family favorites with his sister Rosemary. Some of his other interests were gardening and NASCAR. But most of all, he cherished his time with his family, most notably his grandchildren and great grandson.

Survivors include daughter, Karen Engle of Shenango Twp; son, Robert (Rose) Tepsich of Center Township,; four grandchildren, Kelsey Houk, Lucy and Sammy Tepsich, and Lily Kennedy; one great grandson Jaxson Sada; two sisters, Donna Stolfa of Farmington, NM and Rosemary (Jerry) Spielvogel of Ellwood City.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday January 26, 2022 from 4:00 pm until the time of the Blessing Service at 6:00 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home, 341 Main St. Wampum.  Military Rites will be observed by the Veterans Honor Guard.

Interment will follow in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park.
