Santiago E. “Jimmy” Martinez

Santiago E. “Jimmy” Martinez, 53, of Dushane St., New Castle passed away Thursday, January 12, 2017 at his residence. Although in ill health, death was unexpected.

Born November 10, 1963 in Cotulla, Texas, he was the son of the late Santiago Martinez and Adela Elizondo Perez with whom he resided.

Santiago was a self employed sign fabricator. He was affiliated with the Wampum United Methodist Church.

In addition to his mother, Adela and step father, Ernest Reyna, survivors include his significant other, Dora Lee Bove; seven children, Paul Michael Martinez of Cotulla, TX, Christina, Herlinda, and Patricia Martinez all of Pearsall, TX, Joe Selby of Tucson, AZ; Salvatore and Vienna Bove of New Castle; two sisters, Annette Morales of Butler, Adela (Joe) Yarzebinski of Wampum; brother, Jesus Martinez of Tucson, AZ; sister in law, Yolando Jaimez; and 13 grandchildren.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a son, JImmy Selby and a brother, Freddy Martinez.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday January 16 from 4 to 7 pm at the Wampum United Methodist Church on Main St. Wampum. Funeral Services will be at the church on Tuesday at 11 am with his pastor, Rev. Todd Davis officiating. Interment will follow in the Locust Grove Cemetery.
