Shirleen B. Baker

Shirleen B. Baker, 79, of Wises Grove Rd., New Brighton, formerly of New Galilee died Saturday, May 24, 2014 at Heritage Valley – Beaver Hospital following a short illness.

Born April 1, 1935 in Bridgewater, she was the daughter of the late Hays A. and Emma Iris Casassa Dean. She was married for 26 years to Harry Earl Baker who passed away February 11, 1978.

Shirleen was a former member of the Galilean Presbyterian Church. She was an avid gardener. Her most cherished time was spent with family.

Survivors include son, David Earl Baker of Fort Stockton, TX; five daughters, Catherine Miller of Darlington, Pamela McGraw with whom she resided, Nancy Baker of Wampum, Ruthie Roe of Aliquippa, Marcel Locke of Darlington; three brothers, William Dean of Wampum, David Dean of New Galilee, Hays “Skip” Dean of West Virginia; 18 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and several special nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey on October 28, 1979; grandson, Douglas Roe; sister, Loretta Schultz; and a brother, George “Bobby” Dean.

Visiting hours will be held Tuesday May 27 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home 341 Main Street Wampum. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 11:00 am with Rev. C. F. Hoffman of the Galilean Presbyterian Church officiating. Interment will follow in Clinton Cemetery.
