Shirley Ann Milnes

Shirley Ann Milnes, 72, of New Castle (formerly of Chewton) passed away Sunday, July 24, 2022 at Edison Manor following a courageous yearlong battle with cancer.

Born May 10, 1950 in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late Ted and Shirley Fortney Zak. She was married to Daniel H. Milnes.

Shirley had graduated from Shenango High School in 1968. She was a member of the former St. Monica’s Church in Wampum. Some of her interests were cooking, baking, crafting, and painting. Her most cherished moments were spent with family.

Survivors include her husband of 52 years Dan; three sisters, Linda (Gary) Mayberry, Barbara DePietro, and Theodora (Carl) Stephenson all of Shenango Twp.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two sons, Christopher and Robert Milnes and two sisters, Edith Zak and Joan Graham.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday July 28, 2022 from 3:00 pm until the time of the Blessing Service at 6:00 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home, 341 Main St. Wampum.

Family and friends will gather for a time of fellowship after the Blessing Service at the Chewton Fire Hall.

Interment will be held in Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
