Shirley J. Guy

Shirley J. Guy, 84, of Oakland Ave. Ellwood City died unexpectedly on Friday, February 24, 2012 at the Ellwood City Hospital.

Born December 27, 1927 in Castlewood, PA, she was the daughter of the late William Laird and Clara Marie Harper Kissick.

She was married to Neil Guy for 49 years when he passed away on August 4, 1996.

Shirley enjoyed playing bingo, making floral arrangements, and baking pies. She was an avid Steeler, Penguin, and Pitt Basketball fan. Her most cherished time was spent with family.

Survivors include 2 daughters – Sandra (John) Allwine of Ellwood City, Rickie (James) D’Amico of St. Cloud, FL; 2 sons – Jack (Karole) Guy of Chewton, Alan Guy of FL; two brothers in law – James Smith of Ellwood City and Lynn (Helen) Guy of Wampum; 10 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; one great great grandson; and a lifelong friend – Virginia Cole of Ellport.

She was preceded in death by 2 sisters – Emma Kissick Smith and Barbara Kissick in infancy. .

Private services were held with interment following at Slippery Rock Cemetery.
