Stephen G. “Bimbo” Grinnen, 69, of New Beaver Borough passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, December 28, 2023 at his residence.
Born February 23, 1954 in Ellwood City, he was the son of the late Robert K. and Helen Szilvasi Grinnen.
Bimbo had graduated from Mohawk High School. He was a Veteran of the Army serving from 1970-1972. A man of all trades, he was a self-employed contractor along with being the owner/operator of the Mines and Meadows Valley View Campground. He enjoyed spending his winters in Florida, riding his Harley, and rooting for the Steelers. His most cherished moments were making memories with his family.
Survivors include his wife of 37 years Carrie Swogger Grinnen; two daughters, Tonya (Jimmy) Vanazia and Patti (Jeremy Davis) Grinnen; son, Robert M. Grinnen; sister, Teresa (Ghildardo Almarez) Grinnen; two brothers, Richard and Mark (Tracy) Grinnen; six grandchildren; Kaidin, Steven, Aubriana, Alfonsina, Gianna, and Coleson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Stevie in 2022.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday January 2, 2024 from 4:00 pm until the Funeral Service at 7:00 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home, 341 Main Street Wampum. Rev. Charlene Kennedy will officiate.
