Sue Ann Kardish, 84, of Pershing St. Ellwood City passed away Thursday, July 16, 2015 at Northview Estates following a one year illness.

Born March 4, 1931 in Ellwood City, she was the daughter of the late H. Ray and Joyce Gardner Conner Sr.

She was married for 56 years to Henry G. Kardish who passed away March 29, 2008.

Sue was a member of the First Baptist Church in Ellwood City. She was an avid golfer and bowler, participating in many local leagues. She was a member of Delmar Golf Course. She also enjoyed playing cards and reading. Sue was a great patron of the Ellwood City Library. Her most cherished time was spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren who affectionately called her “G’ Ma”.

Survivors include three daughters and a son in law, Susan Kardish and Amy (Vincent) Amendola of Pittsburgh, Stacy Court of Ellwood City; sister, Barbara (Clyde) McGeary of Camp Hill, PA; six grandchildren,Kelly (Jeff) Harper, Sandy (Tom LaTona) Wilson, Christopher Wilson, Ashley, Kevin and Cassidy Court; two step grandchildren, Vincent D. Amendola, Renee (Ben) Iannacchione;and four great grandchildren, Harrison LaTona, Wilson Conner Harper, Samuel Harper, and Salvatore Iannacchione.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Kathy Wilson, Tammy Kardish, and a brother Ray Conner Jr.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, July 17, from 5 -9 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home, 200 Fountain Ave. Ellwood City. Friends will also be received at the funeral home from 10 am until the time of the funeral service at 11 on Saturday. Chaplin Claire Megles will officiate the service.
