Tanya Jean Andrews Ables, 45, of Ellwood City (North Sewickley Twp.) passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 30, 2018 from a heart attack at Forbes Regional Hospital in Pittsburgh.
Born April 7, 1973 in Danville, Indiana, Tanya was the daughter of Al and Dorothy Snyder Andrews of Ellwood City.
Tanya graduated in 1991 from Lincoln High School where she played softball and was a member of the Marching Band. She was the owner of the former “Especially For You Salon” and currently was a stylist at “Designs by Rose” in Ellwood City. She also bartended at the Saxon Club. Tanya loved riding her motorcycle and spending time with “The Red Nights”, her riding club. She also enjoyed baking, especially making pumpkin rolls. Her most cherished time was spent with her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, survivors include two children, Joel Ables and Lacey Ables, both of Ellwood City; her companion, Kevin “Opie” Opat of Penn Hills; a brother, Alan (Sherri) Andrews of Ellwood City; two sisters, Kristy Nenedjian and Kim Burr, both of Indiana; niece and nephew, Olivia and Owen Andrews; her former husband, Cecil (Patty) Ables of Ellwood City; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and many special friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Richard and Helen Andrews and Warren and Lena Belle Snyder and her cousins, Helen Eiler and Keri Lambert.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday January 2 from 3 pm until the time of the funeral service at 8 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home 200 Fountain Ave. Ellwood City. Rev. Elizabeth Wallace of the Wampum Presbyterian Church will officiate.
Interment will follow in Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
