Thelma B. Daugherty

Thelma B. Daugherty, 82, of Third St., Ellwood City died on Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital as a result of injuries sustained after a pedestrian accident.

Born July 22, 1931 in Rural Valley, PA, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Mabel Little Rankin. She was married to Martin L. Daugherty for 37 years when he passed away on March 8, 1994.

Thelma was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Ellwood City. She enjoyed traveling and vacationing with family. Her most cherished time was spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include two daughters, Luann (Brian) Flowers of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Karen (Richard) Owrey of New Castle; and two grandchildren, Lindsey and Jason Owrey.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a son, David Daugherty, who passed away October 7, 2001 and three sisters, Isabelle Orr, Dorothy Gallagher and Helen Helle.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, October 31 from 4-8 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home 200 Fountain Ave. Ellwood City.

Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 10 am.

Interment will follow in the Smicksburg Cemetery in Indiana County.
