Thomas F. Cooper Sr., 89, of New Beaver Borough passed away Saturday, October 26, 2024 at Quality Life Services in New Castle.
Born November 14, 1934 in Ellwood City, he was the son of the late Earl D. and Beatrice E. Derrow Cooper.
Thomas was a welder by trade and worked for PA Engineering, Aetna Standard, Morgan Brothers, and Hall Industries. After his retirement he worked as a cook at the Wolverine in Ellwood City. He was a former active member of the Free Methodist Church in Ellwood City where he served in many capacities and a current active member of the Clinton United Methodist Church. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed woodworking and reading.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 70 years, Virginia Curtis Cooper; three daughters, Maxine (George) Corn of Wampum, Valerie Tamasco of Clinton, and Amy (Erik) Fisher of Ellwood City; son, Thomas F. (Yvette) Jr. of Yemessee, SC; three sisters, Sarah Toma of Zelienople, Darlene Link of Rose Point, and Ruth Ann (Bob) Brooks of Erie; two brothers, Ray (Alice) of Knoxville, TN and Brian (Jodi) Cooper of Ellwood City; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Donald Wayne Cooper; daughter, Cindy Radaker; five brothers, Douglas, Harry, Calvin, Francis, and Charles; two sisters, Saundra Lutz and Elenore Santillo, and his son-in-law Marc Tamasco.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday October 30, 2024 from 3 to 6 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home, 200 Fountain Ave. Ellwood City.
Funeral Services will be held at the Clinton United Methodist Church on October 31, 2024 at 3:00 pm with Pastor Dave Keppen and Rev. Forrest States officiating. Interment will follow in Clinton Cemetery.
