Vinetta Mae Allen

Vinetta Mae Allen, 79, of Perry Highway, Portersville passed away Sunday, December 21, 2014 at Heritage Valley Beaver Hospital following a brief illness.

Born February 24, 1935 in Beaver Falls, she was the daughter of the late Bryon H. and Laverna M. Bartlet Sallade.

Vinetta retired in 1997 from Passavant in Zelienople where she worked in the dietary department. She was a former member of the Christ Presbyterian Church in Chippewa and was currently affiliated with the Portersville Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed crocheting, beading, and doing puzzle books. Vinetta collected swan figurines.

Survivors include six daughters, Monica L. Pennell of Johnstown, Wanda Jean (Ted) Liston of Bellefonte, Edwina “Wendy” (Les) Sawyer of Portersville, Tamelle (Dave) Weimerskir of Monaca, Leasha M. (Bill) Albany of Belfast, Maine, Raechel K. (James) Allen of Beaver Falls; one son, Bobby L. (Jodi) Moxley Jr. of Beaver; six step children, Linda L. (Jim) Wilson, Mary J. Allen, Donald R. (Anna Jane) Allen, Debbie A. (Tony) Martella, Rodney J. (Lisa) Allen, Wanda G (Sam) Schnieder. ; sister, Virginia Betty Anderson of VA; two brothers, Ronald K. Sallade of VA, DeWayne B. Sallade of Beaver Falls; eighteen grandchildren; fifteen step grandchildren; and thirteen great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, David J. Allen; two daughters, Laynette Estelle Moxley and Cynthia Arlene Allen; brother, Bryon H. Sallade, and a sister, Ruby L. Smith; grandson, Jacob J. Dobbs.

Visiting hours will be held at the Marshall Funeral Home, 200 Fountain Ave. Ellwood City on Friday December 26 from 6-9 pm and Saturday, December 27 from 10 am until the time of the funeral service at 11 am. Dana L. Opp of the Portersville Presbyterian Church will officiate. Interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery.
