Violet Mae Kelly

Violet Mae "Gigi" Kelly, 80, of Neshannock Township passed away Saturday, September 14, 2024.

Born March 10, 1944 in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late Leroy W. Blashak and Elsie McClain Blashak Goodland. She was married to James F. Kelly when he passed away on July 21, 1993.

Violet worked as a private duty nurse's aide at the Golden Hill Nursing Home and St. Francis Hospital. She loved to bake, sew, craft, and listen to music. Her most cherished moments were with her family.

Survivors include daughter, Roxane (Fiance William Ferguson) Kelly with whom she resided; son, Charles (Tammy) Kelly of New Castle; six grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; stepbrother, Robert Kelly; sister, Mary Gongora and three half-brothers, Timothy (Wendy) Blashak, Jimmie (Linda), and Thomas Goodland.

In addition to her parents and husband James, she was preceded in death by her stepfather Wilson Goodland, daughter, Veronica, son, James II, two sisters, Jenny Brown and Rita Russo, and two brothers Glenn Blashak and Leroy W. Blashak Jr.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Marshall Funeral Home, 341 Main St. Wampum on Friday September 20, 2024 at 11:00 am. Rev. Tod Custer will officiate.

Interment will be in Locust Grove Cemetery.
