William C. Chapman

William C. Chapman, 84, of Wayne Twp. passed away Sunday, February 23, 2025 at UPMC - Jameson Hospital following a lengthy illness.

Born March 2, 1940 in New Castle, he was the son of the late Van and Vida Houk Chapman. 

William graduated from Shenango in 1958 and had retired from Calgon after 30 years of service as a chemical operator. An outdoorsman, William was a lifelong gardener and enjoyed hunting and fishing in his youth.

Survivors include his wife Charlene Reno Chapman; two sons, Todd R. and Troy L. (Patty) Chapman both of Wayne Twp.; four grandchildren, Crystal, Andrew, Justin, and Tyler; three great-grandchildren; sister, Marlene Gotjen of Somerset, PA, and brother, Mel (Janet) Chapman of Princeton.

Friends will be received on Thursday February 27, 2025 from 4:00 pm until the Funeral Service at 6:00 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home, 200 Fountain Ave. Ellwood City. Pastor Dave McQuaid of the 1st Baptist Church in Ellwood City will officiate. Interment will follow in Harmony Baptist Cemetery.
