Zelma Marie Hahn

Zelma Marie Hahn, 93, of Hubbard, Ohio, formerly of Ellwood City and Sharon, PA. died on Thursday, May 10, 2012 at the Austinwoods Health Center in Austintown, OH following a brief illness.

Born June 4, 1918 in Ellwood City, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Sarah Grunden Derrow.

She married Frederick G. Hahn on June 12, 1935. They had been married for 69 years when he passed away on April 8, 2005.

Zelma was a member of the Free Methodist Church in Ellwood City where she was active in the Women’s Missionary Society. She had been the past president of the District Women’s Missionary Society.

Survivors include two daughters – Freida L. McMath of Hubbard, OH, Kathy M. Hahn of Hickory, NC; a son – David L. (June) Hahn of Bergen, NY; a daughter in law – Rose Hahn of Ellwood City; eleven grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son – Frederick F. Hahn and a son in law – Charles McMath. The last of her family, she was also preceded in death by four brothers – Gilbert, Wildie, Harold, and Harry Derrow; and six sisters – Amanda Foust, Beatrice Cooper, Mary Ann Derrow, Elizabeth Gorgas, Laura Jean Derrow, and Dorothy L. Shallenberger.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday May 14, 2011 from 1 until the time of the funeral service at 2:00 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home 200 Fountain Ave. Ellwood City.

Rev. Terry Weyman will officiate.

Entombment will follow in the Graceland Mausoleum.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the Free Methodist Church or The American Cancer Society.
